An italian dining room & bar inside the society hill hotel
The menu is rooted in Italian-American tradition, but never stuck in it: house-made pasta, Neapolitan pizza, oysters on ice, and a proper three-sheet lasagna. Italian cooking, done with care and pride.
The dining room’s been through a few things. It started as an oyster bar back in 1830, and that spirit’s still here (along with the oysters), even if the city’s food scene has changed… a little bit.
We got a Negroni menu, a strong showing of amari, and an all-Italian wine list, served tableside.
Stop in for a drink. Take your time over dinner. Either way, you’ll be looked after.
13th Street Restaurants was founded in 2003 from owners Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello in Philadelphia with the opening of their first restaurant, Cafe Lift. Since then, they have expanded to Prohibition Taproom, La Chinesca, and a second location of Cafe Lift in Haddonfield, NJ. The team's shared passion and values for hospitality remains at the forefront, while maintaining relationships with local artisans, farmers, and purveyors.
